I’m telling you what. This here book is a good book.

John Moe is a former actor, now a writer and podcast maker who copes with clinical depression. For (I think) three years, he hosted a podcast on NPR that he created, called THE HILARIOUS WORLD OF DEPRESSION.

The show has ended, but he’s written a book of the same name, which a friend loaned me. As someone who copes with depression, myself, I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend it to anyone who copes with depression or knows anyone who has to. It explains so much about how we feel and how we think and how hard it is sometimes to wrestle the steering wheel out of Depression’s hands before we swerve off the road or, God forbid, into someone else.

You can hear more about the podcast and the book here.

Here are my nails this week. Sorry they’re kinda blurry; it’s surprisingly difficult to take in-focus pictures of your own fingernails. It is for me, anyway. The base coat is a thermal color-changing coat.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

When something tragic happens I’m one of those that giggles. It’s awful and I hate that its me that does this but, here it is. I giggle or laugh when something awful happens. Once that laugh passes I am able to think, plan, and jump into action rather than panic and scream like an idiot so… I haven’t worked on stopping the giggle or laugh cause afterwards I function. It sucks how I get there, but…it’s me. It’s how I work.

Your nails remind me of the Milky Way! I love them!

I’ve been doing KISS Nude rs nails of late. I love them. I’m not the decorated nail gal, but do love that you are! You’re so much more flamboyant and artistic than I will ever be. I’m vanilla. That works for me, but I can’t live without you and your flare for the non vanilla!

I’m glad you like my nails! Charlie would have liked your vanilla nails; he didn’t like my fancy ones. I believe I would have won him over, eventually.
