I was talking to one of my wonderful sisters-in-law, Dolores, reminiscing about her brother, my late husband. I told her he used to tell me about how she, although younger than he, would stick up for him and chase bullies away. He used to call her feisty, although I think that understates her case. She’s fierce in defense of the abused, misused, or outnumbered.
She laughed and told me her philosophy about that:
If you can change something, pitch a fit; if you can’t, let it go.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about someone or something little but fierce.
