I Now Love Daniel Craig #MondayRecommends #Nails

But first, a word from our sponsor. That would be me. I have a new story online:

Summer at Mettie’s, at Rock and a Hard Place

A small-town fixer gets the cold shoulder from her community for being too trusting of people with nefarious objectives.

Now.

I never had anything against Daniel Craig. Thought he would make a pretty good James Bond, especially since I’ve read a Bond book or two and know JAMES BOND IS BLOND, Y’ALL.

But I wasn’t interested. Not a fan, because haven’t really seen him work.

However.

This week, #4 Daughter told me she had watched KNIVES OUT, and wanted to watch it again, this time with me.

So we watched it. And she went home and ordered a copy so we can watch it ANY TIME WE WANT TO.

If you love whodunnits, especially Agatha Christie-type ones, this film is your meat. I don’t believe there is one end left loose, one Chekhovian gun left unfired, one wasted frame.

And Daniel Craig with a southern (American South) accent totally won my heart. He is absolutely my new imaginary pretty-boy sleuth boyfriend.

In other news, here are my nails this week, inspired by one of Charlie’s shirts:

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about a shirt.

Thanks! The nails show on my preview. Wonder if others can’t see them, or if it’s on your end. Hmmm…. Well, I know how to fix it real quick. BRB. Feexed!

I have yet to see Knives Out and I know I’ll like it. But more importantly… JAMES BOND IS BLOND? Did not know that, feel that the movies have conned me into believing something that is not true. imagine that!

Oh, DO see Knives Out! It skates /this close/ to parody, but refrains just enough to be perfect. IMO. 🙂

I loved Knives Out. and I loved Summer at Mettie’s! That was some fine writing! (Kind of reminded me of Elmer Gantry.)

    Cheers,

Oh I did enjoy that trailer! And it stars a who’s who of some of my favourite actors including Jamie Lee Curtis and Toni Colette. 😀

Enjoy! The Offspring and I re-watched The Shape of Water the other night. I’d forgotten how good the movie is. Sometimes you get movies that you can keep going back to because there’s always more to ‘discover’.

It’s a Del Toro movie from a few years back. A bit of nudity but it’s not erotic, if that makes sense. A beautiful story.

I LOVED that movie! I generally enjoy Daniel Craig — not so much as Bond, because (I’m sorry) I repeatedly sleep through Casino Royale. I cannot get through it.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen him in anything else except in clips. I’ll be happy to see him in anything, now. Except Casino Royale: word to the wise duly taken.

Well other people don’t sleep through it. I finally made it through Sherlock Holmes (with RDJ) and that took me about 6-7 times…

Oh, my! If you can sleep through Daniel Craig AND RDJ AND Jude Law, I just don’t know what to say. Yes, I do: That leaves more for me.
