Chickie Gets Down #Caturday #TipperAndChickie

HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!

This is my week to post, but Mommy asked me to post this thing she made for GISH about how picky-picky Tipper is when we have company:

Tipper Allen, Lord Snowbottom will attend family gatherings under the following circumstances:

  • No dogs
  • No children
  • No humans except my hooman mother and hooman sisters
  • No loud music
  • Tickling Lord Snowbottom’s feet will be grounds for immediate cancellation of his presence.

NOW, all about ME!

Mommy and I went upstairs. I go upstairs a lot when the upstairs door is open. Mommy opens it when the weather is warm, so it’s warmer up there than it is downstairs. Mommy doesn’t go up there very much, because Poppy used all the upstairs rooms for stuff he did. Mommy and my hooman sisters go up there sometimes, but they always cry.

Poppy’s desk chair.

When Mommy went back downstairs, I came after her.

My name ought to be Speedy!

I stretched, and Mommy said, “Oh! Look at your terrible claws!” She knows she’s safe when I’m around!

Dangerous!

Mommy got some catnip from somebody at the farmers market, and she stuffed some playtoys in the bag and then gave them to us. The little red puffball was my favorite!

Tipper liked the triangle.

Wanna trade?

Then we traded for a while.

We are lucky cats! Thank you, Mommy!

Winsome.

-grin- Lovely photos of you and Lord Snowbottom, Chickie. Tell him he should be a bit more sociable! And yes, you are winsome. 🙂

He’s so unsociable, when he sees a car pulling up, he growls and hides behind the bathtub, between the walls.

lmao – so do mine! I think it’s because we don’t get many visitors so they associate cars with the vet [wonderful lady who does home visits]. 😀

We’ve never had any cat-threatening visitors. I understood it when our dog got his hackles up if a van pulled up, since he started it when an ambulance came and took me away, but nothing has happened to make Tipper hate visitors. He just does. Sometimes he gets over it and makes friends; sometimes he doesn’t. I think it depends on whether he goes to sleep behind the tub.

Aaaah. Yes, some cats are introverts, just like us. My lovely boy Buffa was a bit of an extrovert and would come out and greet people when we had a party. That stopped when we had a halloween party and one of the guest greeted Buffa with ‘Boo!’
            Instant introvert. 🙁

Oh, how sad! I’ll bet the guest was so sorry! If they weren’t, I’d never have them over again, unless they were family and I had to. Poor kitty! 🙁

I actually saw it happen. The expression on poor Buffa’s face…. he literally went from the-cat-who-meets-and-greets to the cat who disappeared until the party was over. 🙁

Poor baby! Who would think a simple BOO would freak him out like that? Did he recover? I hope it was only for that party.

No, he became completely untrusting of strangers, from that one, rather loud boo. I think it was that the ‘boo’ was aimed at /him/.

They do help, Dan, they do help. I don’t know what I’d do without them.
