The Usual Suspects: Raccoon, fox, bobcat, coyote. Dammit.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Someone happens upon a crime scene. Doesn’t have to be murder.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

The system breaks my heart: MOST young of ALL species are eaten by something already in existence when they are born. Except maybe ours, where they aren’t eaten, but upward from a third don’t even get to birth – naturally.

Without the protein, other babies may not live.

We spend our lives ignoring these facts because we are the survivors. Now excuse me while I go prepare my breakfast eggs.
