Tipper — Caught in the Act! #Caturday #TipperAndChickie

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what? I got caught being bad this week.

#4 Hooman Sister used to have a glass of water on the table next to where she sits on the couch, but she caught Chickie dipping her paw into it, so #4 brought a cup with a lid and a straw. After that, every time she came over, she found the cup on the floor, and she did a dammit-Chickie.

Well, the other day, Momma heard a noise, and she got a picture.

Oops

She didn’t punish me, though, because Chickie already smacked me for getting her dammit-Chickied.

I love Momma.

She lets me hug her when I want to, and she lets me sit alone and ponder when I need to do that.

Apparently so. Tiffany used to dip her paw into my water (or milk) and drink from it. I did not drink after her — once I caught her doing it….

Our son’s cat prefers water from your glass to the nice fountain they bought him.

The only time I have not told the literal truth about something was way back in high school, when a group of girls who suddenly wanted me to study with them (I was so naive back then) somehow stole the chemistry exam, and then tried to compromise me by offering me a copy early the morning of the exam. Since I had nothing to do with it, and had already studied, I didn’t give them away, but I also didn’t say I had been part of their scheme. At the time, I didn’t want to get them in more trouble than they already were, but later I wondered why, if one of them had given the teachers my name, no one followed up. I had an A in chemistry before the exam, and after taking it. I didn’t even accept what they wanted to send me. I think some of them got into trouble. It’s getting hazy.

There have been plenty of the normal kinds of not telling the whole truth – mostly by omission – often for kindness, but that one stuck out.

My guess is that you didn’t get in trouble for the same reason Sara never got into trouble for slugging guys: Everybody knew she didn’t slug people until she had been pushed beyond reasonable bearing. Once she did get called into the principal’s office and was asked, “Why did you hit so-and-so in the stomach?” and she answered, “That was all the higher I could reach.” Poor, abused boy.

Good for Sarah. Forbearance until impossible to maintain, then swift vengeance.

I think I wrote a bar scene for Andrew with that exact same premise.

Oh your poor nose! I can understand Chickie being annoyed at the ‘dammit Chickie’ you caused, but that biff was a bit extreme. You’re lucky your Mum understands and cares. Hope the nose is better soon. -hugs-
