Cheers! In Which I Invent A New Cocktail #SPNFamily

So I’ve gotten #4 Daughter, the amazing Sara Marian, hooked on Supernatural, and OF COURSE she joined me in loving Crowley (former punk-ass crossroads demon, now … King o’ Hell) as played by Mark Sheppard.

This being the case, we decided to honor Crowley by indulging in a cocktail. Supernatural (specifically Crowley) fans will understand when I say we named it Something Fancy With Your Tiniest Umbrella. The Crowley, for short.

[Sidebar: DECADES ago, I bought a box of paper umbrellas to stick into cupcakes for a “Hawaiian” party. I still have most of them. Throw them away? Don’t talk dirty; this is a classy joint.]

The cocktail:

The Crowley contains: Ice, white rum, black rum, orange liqueur, simple syrup, almond extract, rose water, and a splash of orange-pineapple-apple juice. It is garnished with a sprig of mint (in this case, in bloom), a wedge of fresh pineapple, and — of course — our tiniest umbrella.

We had more than one of these.

How were they? I’ll let #4 give her review:

Mark Sheppard is teetotal, so he wouldn’t have joined us, but Crowley is not, so he would have.

Cheers, mate!
