FriendDoors – #Hopkinsville, Kentucky 2 #ThursdayDoors

Here are some more door pictures Sara took in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. I forgot to tell you about Hopkinsville last week, like, I forgot to tell you that The Alhambra Theater was opened in 1928 and is now an entertainment venue. Also: Hopkinsville was a stop on the Trail of Tears and has a commemorative park and heritage center that’s on the National Register of Historic Places.

Hopkinsville has a distillery and at least one brewery, so that’s good.

Psychic Edgar Cayce was born there and was buried there. Not, you know, until after he had died.

It has a labyrinth! It has an international festival!

And it has doors:

The A and B appear to be letter slots.
Detail, baby!

More next week.

Thursday doors is under the direction of Dan Antion, photographer extraordinaire and critter daddy. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about a trail and/or a labyrinth.

Thanks, for two reasons. Hopkinsville, KY is now on my radar and places to visit list. And also for your door pics and for informing me about Antion the door guy’s site.

Dan’s site is a treat! Sometimes he does mathy things for us on Monday, and Saturdays are spent at the bar. He always has a great One-liner Wednesday, and he takes the most AMAZING photographs!

These are great. That stately looking building near the bottom looks a lot like our Old State House. I like it!

Oh, so MY raggedy old doors aren’t good enough for you, eh? YOU want doors photographed by archeologists with a couple of beers under their belts. I see. I see.
