Market Wagon #MondayRecommends #NailArt

The Friday farmers market will be going all winter, but with almost no vendors. Last year, there was coffee and microgreens, and I can’t live on that!

Meanwhile, social media has been pushing Market Wagon at me all summer, and I overheard somebody raving about how great it was, so I checked it out.

“What the fuck is Market Wagon?” I hear you cry. Or, if you don’t stoop to vulgarity, I hear you crying, “But, my dear, whatever in the world is Market Wagon?”

We create online farmers markets with delivery to give consumers more access to local food. Our technology and logistics innovations allow farmers and artisans to list and sell their products online with the convenience of e-commerce and fulfill orders with our managed last-mile network.

I love meatloaf, but it’s a pain in the arse to make, so I ordered theirs. It comes raw and frozen, without instructions, but I know how to thaw and cook meatloaf, so big whoop. It looked minuscule, but I’ll have three meals out of it, so that’s a deal. I ordered one sweet onion (I don’t use that much, cooking for one); I guess they didn’t have one big one, so they sent me two medium ones, even though I wouldn’t have known the difference. The other thing I ordered was English Muffins, and they are SO GOOD! They have a much thicker crumb than I’m used to with the “nooks and crannies” kind, and I have to cut them (no fork-cut, like the storebought kind), but that’s why God made bread knives.

When I tried to check out, the website had a glitch and I couldn’t. So I emailed them and got an email back within the day; they had processed the order for me and had notified their webmaster. When I tried to order this week, it worked slicker’n snot on a doorknob.

My nails this week are all fallified.

Interesting to learn about them I’m steering clear of grocery delivery for now. That’s my job. Cool nails.

I love grocery shopping, but fresh produce is SO MUCH better than store-bought. I may not continue with them, but I thought I’d give it a try, maybe wean myself off the farmers market gradually.

I get the meatloaf from our grocery store’s deli. It’s pretty darn good. I sometimes use half of it to make spaghetti sauce too.
I tried a grocery delivery service many years ago. They started out great with wonderful produce, but then after just a few weeks they went downhill and the produce got really bad so I stopped that service. I hope you have a much better experience!

I hope I do, too! This is supposed to be more-or-less local, small, independent producers, farm-to-(my)-table. I don’t know what your grocery store is, but JayC’s meatloaf is AWESOME.
