Driving On #ThursdayDoors

Doing my due diligence, snappity-snapping doors as Sara drives.

Got a red one! Ain’t that a beaut?

Here’s another Storybook Style-ish one.

Can you guess what my favorite architectural style is?

Yeah, the kind with the catslide roof.

I love this one, too. Almost missed the sucker. Cut the top of his head off.

If I say that a stone vestibule outside the house looks like a good place for bad guys to lurk, will you think I watch too much crime drama? Yeah, that’s what I thought, too.

Thursday doors is under the direction of Dan Antion, photographer extraordinaire and critter daddy. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Who — or what — is lurking in that stone vestibule?

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

You’re not paranoid if someone is really out to get you. I would not want the vestibule outside my door.

I like the style you like.

Good camera, peephole, and lighting system – then you can afford the protection from the elements. If the camera happens not to be usable, or the lights won’t go on – don’t open the door.

Catslide – hadn’t heard that one. I like it.

Ah, but my fear would be coming IN. I suppose today’s technology could connect one’s phone to a camera mounted to see the interior of the vestibule, so you could know if there was a lurker before approaching from the outside.

A red door’s always a winner, Marian. I read a lot of crime and thriller novels and it would be easy to be paranoid. Or would it just be being realistic??? 🙂
