No Want! #Caturday #TipperAndChickie #Adi

Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what?

Chickie and I kept a secret all May, because we were writing stories on Caturday for Momma, but now I can tell you. Momma says she thinks everybody guessed the secret because of our stories, but I don’t see how they could, because we use fake names for the cats in our stories. So here’s our announcement.

MOMMA GOT A NEW CAT! Her name is Adi, and she’s a Scottish Fold and she’s three years old, and Chickie and I don’t like her one little bit!

She’s big and super-fluffy and she won’t fight AT ALL. And sometimes she lies down in the catbird seat!

Momma doesn’t know why I don’t like Adi, because I like kittens. In fact, this morning Momma caught me grooming a piece of my foam mattress like it was a kitten.

I tell her that the difference is that Adi isn’t a kitten. I’m not even sure she’s a cat!

At least Chickie and I don’t fight anymore.

A funny thing happened! First, I have to tell you that one of the deer cats had a baby. Momma didn’t get a picture of it, but it’s all spotty. Here’s the momma.

Well, yesterday that bad Boone cat came down to make faces at me through the window, and the deer chased him away! She chased him out of the front yard and through the side yard and into the woods! Yay, deer cat!

Momma says we’d better get used to Adi, because she isn’t going anywhere. She says she has plenty of love for all of us, and plenty of food.

Maybe I’ll let the deer cat in and see if she’ll chase ADI away!

I think Adi is very pretty ball of fluff, Tipper. You should try being nicer. I had a feeling you and Chickie were writing those stories, but that was clever.

I agree — it wouldn’t hurt a bit for Tipper and Chickie to be nicer to sweet Adi. I give them lots of love and food and treats, but they still resent her. There’s plenty of room in this house for three cats!

IF they can’t adjust, Sara says she’ll try Adi with her cat, Freyja. But I think they will adjust. Things change between them every day.

Oh…so those stories were /real/? I would never have guessed, Tipper. I know you and Chickie don’t like Adi, but I think maybe your Mum needs Adi. She’ll never stop loving the two of you, but maybe Adi fills a spot that you can’t reach? Anyway, stay positive and give Chickie a hug from me. ๐Ÿ™‚

LOL! Yes, they were real! I’m happy to say that Chickie helped me brush my teeth this morning and slept by me last night. That’s an improvement. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank goodness! To be honest, Chickie was the one I was worried about. So glad she’s back. ๐Ÿ™‚

She worried me, too. Adi has taken to growling at her and chasing her. I’m surprised Chickie allows it. Sara has me convinced that things will settle down by the end of the month. I guess it’s kind of like feeling out your relationships to your college roommates.

Ugh. That’s not good Marian. Cats have a pecking order just like everyone else, and it sounds as if Adi thinks /she/ is higher on that order than Chickie. My poor Harry was forced to be an out doors cat for most of his life because Buffa made his life inside so difficult. I tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. Buffa was higher up on that pecking order and he bullied Harry at every opportunity. ๐Ÿ™

I’m hoping they can work out something livable. I already told the young woman who brought Adi to me that, although I LOVE Adi, the cats I had before she came are my first priority. Since Chickie is back upstairs, helping me brush my teeth and sleeping where she can watch over me, I have hope for their future together.

-smiles- the thought of Chickie sitting there, helping you brush your teeth always brings a smile to my face.
