Still Here #Caturday #TipperChickieAdi

HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!

That big fluffy invader is still here. Mommy says she’s staying FOREBBER. I know it must be true, because Mommy just ordered an automatic feeder for her just like the ones Tipper and I have!

Mommy calls her Adi Amelia, Lady Fluffington. She says the Amelia is because Amelia Bloomer invented bloomers for women, and Adi looks like she’s wearing bloomers. Mommy also calls her Fluffy Lumpkin.

We still hate her. Everywhere we go, we check to see if she’s around.

Tipper does it.

I do it.

Tipper says, “She’s not all that bad.” But he doesn’t care about anything, as long as he can loaf around next to Mommy.

And I don’t really care too much, as long as I’m Mommy’s bed buddy.

Our #4 Hooman Sister was out of town for a couple of days, so Mommy went up and fed and played with #4’s cat and chinchilla. Mommy took pictures of them so we’d know she was safe to be around them.

The cat is named Freyja. She has a sneer because her face got hurt before she adopted #4.

The chinchilla is Dasha. She loves yogurt drops, and she gets one every morning to help her digestion.

Mommy says we’ll come to love Adi. I guess as long as she doesn’t try to come between us and Mommy, she can stay. I still don’t like her, though.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Does your hooman ever look after other animals and come home smelling funny?

TipperChickie – you guys need to make room in your hearts for Adi. She won’t steal your mom. She’s just adding some fluff.

So far, they’re holding out against her. Somehow, I get the feeling that it won’t last long, that they’ll all be romping soon.

They’re like boys when a new kid moves into the neighborhood. There has to be a certain amount of hazing before the bonds of friendship form.
