Farewell To Knoxville #ThursdayDoors

These are the last doors #4 Daughter, the amazing Sara Marian, brought back from her field dig in Knoxville, Tennessee. They aren’t strictly doors, as such, but she reserves the right to send me pictures she knows I’ll like, so….

We’ve had ghost doors and ghost windows, but here’s a ghost building.

This one is all about the arches.

And this one has a glimpse of doors, but it’s all about the gigantic sign.

Doors at last, including a red truck door!

Thursday doors is under the direction of Dan Antion, photographer extraordinaire and critter daddy. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: An unmistakable sign.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Ghost building and theater marquee. I don’t know why I find the ghost building attractive, but I do.

So do I! I can imagine any business was in the absent building. Employees, owner, manager, buyers, suppliers, drama…. A world of stories and history, and it’s all mine!
