I was talking to a friend about a couple we know who were going on vacation. Between her uncertainty about the unusual word she was using and my poor hearing, here’s what I thought she said:

They’re going camping, and they’re staying in a urine.

They’re staying in a yurt.

    Yurt. Yurt would be a better choice 😂

    It’s okay. How can you use your auditory and visual clues if ‘yurt’ isn’t your idea of a camping tent?

    You did fine. Clarification or repetition is important.

      I’ve seen some high-end latrines on television that look big enough to camp in!
