Adi Is The Good One #Caturday #TipperChickieAdi

Um…. I’m Adi, okay?

I had a exciting week dis week.

EverMom usually sleeps inna bed, but this one time, she did a day-sleep on the front room couch. So I got to be on the back of it and guard her. I guarded her good!

EverMom says the people who made me were mean, and didn’t care about how much trouble I had staying clean, wif my long hair and short neck and flat face. She feels sorry for me because I get mats in my hair and litterbox stuff on my back parts. I don’t like for people to mess with my back parts — well, would you? — but EverMom has to. This time, she gave me a baff! I like baffs!

She ran some nice warm water, and I sat in it and I liked it a lot.

Den she had to use the cloth on me, and I didn’t like that, but I just grumbled about it. I didn’t bite or scratch or fight or anyfing!

EverMom tried to dry me off, but I was done, so she let me go.

Den she took me to the vet and I got shotted. I was very good for the vet, too. Dey cooed ober me and said what a beautiful girl I am. Dey said I’m big, too. Dey told EverMom to stop feeding me 1/3 cup of food twice a day and change it to 1/4 cup of food. 4 is more dan 3, so dat means I got more food! Right?

Tipper and Chickie went to the vet yesterday, and they get to have 1/4 cup now, too. Yay!

EverMom took me to the vet in the really big carrier PapaJoe and MamaJess left wif her, but I like the soft one Chickie uses. Maybe next time, EverMom will let me use dis one.

Anyway, EverMom says I’m the good one, and she’s proud of me.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you like baffs?

Hi Adi. I’m seriously impressed! I’ve only tried to bathe a cat once. It took two of us, and we both ended up with scratches on both arms. Do you get very hot in summer? I wonder if it would be possible to give you a haircut? I have to cut Mogi’s hair in summer, but she’s a dog so she doesn’t really count. đŸ™‚

The only cat I ever had trouble bathing was Sara’s cat, Al. It was like something in a CGI movie: He tried to get out of my arms, accidentally stuck a claw into my breast, and froze in place. Just froze. It was like when a thug hits Hulk with a two-by-four, and all that happens is that Hulk turns around at looks at him? Like that. So I extracted the claw and he got a bath. Next time he needed one, Sara did it, and he was good as gold for her. He adored her.

I do think I may have to get Adi shorn, then I’ll brush her every day to keep the mats from starting in the first place.

I usually don’t put the cat into the water; I usually put the cat into the tub with a bucket of water next to them. Then I use a cloth to wet them down. I hold them in place with one hand firmly holding one leg in place, and they generally stand for it, although the don’t like it. Adi, though, LOVED being in the water. She knocked over the bucket and sat down happily in the water. Crazy animal.

You are my hero – you have bathed a cat. Nothing more needs to be added to your resume. I bow low, and sweep my hat at you.
