Monday Recommends and Nail Art: Go-Tos and Abstract

While poking around the internet, I came across this site. There are probably more like this, but this is the one I found: ManualsLib: The Ultimate Manuals Library. Just use the search bar to input the make and model of whatever you need a manual for, and you’ll probably find it, since they have nearly 7 million of them. Cool. Cool cool cool.

This other site might not be useful for anybody else, but it sure-bob is for me. Adobe Color will be INVALUABLE to me going forward with nail art. I get baffled, trying to choose a color pallet. This site will give me a pallet based on a particular color, or I can upload an inspo picture and it will give me a range of pallets based on it. SO HAPPY!

I’m also happy with my nails this week without the help of Adobe Color, although they did smudge a bit. Doesn’t matter. Nobody but you guys are going to be looking this closely at them.

I picked a plate at random and got Maniology M259. All my polishes are Maniology except for the Baroness X fluid art polish. First, I made a fluid art decal with Baroness X’s 90’s Blues, Maniology’s Skin Deep and Doll Dance. I painted all my nails with Skin Deep except for my accent nails, which I painted with Doll Dance. My stamping polishes were Shark Bait (blue) and Caramel (brown). I only intended to put the fluid art on my thumbs, but I had enough left over to do my pinkies, too. I like the effect of one of my fluid art colors being the same as my main base coat.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Someone desperately needs to find out how to do or use something.

The manuals site is a very nice reference to know, thanks. Cool nails. I rely on Adobe (photoshop) a lot for matching colors, since I could hardly ever do it by myself.

Being a little colorblind myself, I understand. I would pick out a top and a skirt and ask my mother, “Does this match?” and she might say, “It doesn’t match, but it goes.” Meaning that they were different colors, but of the same intensity, so they looked good together. Now I have to ask Sara.

In many ways, it was easier for me before causal dress. I have gray and blue suits and white and blue shirts for most of the year. Hard to mess that up.

Sara had a friend who only wore black. We thought he was Goth, but he was just colorblind and all black was his solution.

I’m glad one of my finds is actually useful to somebody else. LOL I have a cardboard color wheel, but it baffles me, somehow. Maybe the Adobe site will train me to understand.

I prefer to find my manuals at the vendor site. Only if the company folded- or no longer supports the product- do I venture to a generic manuals site. OH, and I like the left hand more than the right one!

I’m in total agreement on the manuals and on the nail preference!
