Food: A Vegan Failure — Or Is It?

This morning, I got a craving for an egg McBiscuit or whatever, so I tried making one.

I began with these fixin’s:

JUST Egg, Heart Smart Bisquick, Country Crock Plant Butter, NotMilk, Morning Star Farms Original Sausage Patties

Oh, and cheese, because of course:

I mixed a little baking mix and a little milk and cooked one biscuit. Meanwhile, I heated the “sausage”, removed it, and cooked some egg with salt, pepper, and cheese. Then I assembled everything.

Alas! The biscuit disintegrated! I make these all the time for biscuits and gravy, and they’re perfect for that, because the biscuits are supposed to disintegrate, soaking up all that good gravy graviness. Not so good for a sammich.

So I ate it with a fork, and it was most delicious. Next time, though, I’ll use bread or a bun and save my one-off biscuits for gravy.

“Ate it with a fork” _ I see no problem here. It looks very good.
