A long time ago, I watched a marvelous movie starring Brendan Fraser….
Sorry, I got distracted.
ANYWAY, the movie was INKHEART, and I loved it beyond all reason. In fact, I’ve just bought a copy, and look forward to watching it again.
Well, full circle, someone in the Maniology Community Facebook group posted a picture of INKHEART nails she’d created for her daughter, who loves the BOOK! I was like, “There’s a BOOK? Yes, please!” Well, there’s a trilogy! Reader, I bought them.
I’m in the middle of the second book, and I’m enchanted, as any writer or reader-aloud would be.
Sadly, I don’t have the bandwidth right now to create Inkheart nails, so we’ll have to settle for flowers.
The accent finger and the pointer finger are done with a layered plate, with three dark-to-light shades of green for the stem and three light-to-dark shades of pink for the flowers. The bird finger is done with just the top layer stamp using just the darkest of the greens and darkest of the pinks.
The pinkie and thumb are stamped with the middle shade of pink and topped with a glitter topcoat.
Maybe I’ll do Inkheart nails some day. Nail goals.
A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Layers of something.
