The cyst on my palm doesn’t hurt, which is why the hand doctor is fairly casual about it, but poking it isn’t pleasant. Why do I poke it? Well, I don’t, on purpose, duh!
Driving aggravates it. Doing the dishes aggravates it. Holding my phone wrong when I play video games aggravates it.
If I aggravated it any more, it would start calling me by my full name.

September 6, 2023 at 10:12amI’m lucky to be a 15-minute drive from Kleinert Kutz clinic, one of the foremost hand surgeries in the country, and maybe the world. One of their patients was Neil Armstrong. They transplant hands and arms, so they don’t even call what they’re doing to me an operation. It’s a “procedure”, and it’ll take about 30 minutes. No worries. I’m just ticked because I had a hand-themed mani all planned out and I’m not allowed to wear nail polish, not even on the non-operated-on hand. I blow a big fat raspberry!

September 9, 2023 at 12:59pmYeah, you know, if I had it to over, I probably wouldn’t. A broken nose would probably have been easier. Or maybe I would have landed on my fake boob and just bounced back up.
