I found an essay on the CNBC website that I just had to share.
The case for ‘hope punk’ when talking about climate change: ‘To be hopeless is to be uninformed’
Her main point is that, by focusing exclusively on the very real dangers of our current trajectory, we lose sight of the facts that other people are aware of these dangers, see them as alarming and urgent as we do, and are searching for and working at solutions. Seeing only the problems makes us feel isolated and powerless. Apathy equals inaction, and what does inaction accomplish? Who cares? See what I mean?
