Sad news: The place where I used to get the delicious fried mushrooms and fried corn bites has closed. ::weeps piteously:: I assuaged my sorrow by taking pictures in behind it.

The back has various doors and a ladder to the roof. I used to know a woman who maintained (facetiously? seriously? you couldn’t tell with her) that the ladder was to facilitate the aliens’ descent when they landed their spaceship up there.

ET, come on down!

Also back there was an A#1 raggedy shed, one of my favorite subjects.

Nobody was behind me for a while on a back road, so I got a couple of shots before somebody needed me to not stop for pictures. I got this house:

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: The end of something available nowhere else.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

I like the idea of a ladder for the aliens. Nothing like making them feel welcome. I mean, it’s the little things, right? That is quite the complex house.

It IS a complex house. I like looking at complex houses. The more detail, the better.

I love the alien ladder! That’s such a fun way of looking at it. Love the pictures, too! That shed is particularly charming, especially against the bright blue sky.
