Caturday: Chickie At Play

HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!

Mommy gives us the best toys! The other day, she surprised me by leaving this string on the floor for me to find.

She leaves us crinkly paper bags, too, but Adi lies on top of them and squashes them. I got one open, though.

It’s hard to breathe in there, though, so I made a window.

Mommy is so good to us, I wanted to give her a treat, so I killed a cricket and left it on her food prep counter for her to find in the morning. She was so excited, she squealed like a little girl.

She said, “Oh, thank you SO MUCH. How KIND of you to leave a dead bug on my food prep counter. JUST what I always wanted.”

Tipper says that’s what #4 Hooman Sister used to call “speaking sarcasmly”. Sarcasmly must mean “from the heart”.

I love my mommy.

lmao – such a kind girl! My babies have brought everything from small pebbles [they were from Pippi], a baby bunny and a live rat, thanks to Buffa, and assorted mice. I squealed with joy each time. -rolls eyes-

MiMi brought us a dead cricket earlier this fall. Thanks guys. It truly is just what we need. It’s amazing how Chickie figures this stuff out.

A dead bug on the counter? Ewwww…
Gibbs brought a dead bird into my bedroom a few years ago after killing it on the patio. Not sure what is worse, bug or bird, other than the screaming and yelling from the human that is never a cat’s expected “thank you!” We should be more grateful, huh? 😉

The worst I ever had was the dead snake Chickie laid out very carefully on my bed. Fortunately, I wasn’t IN the bed at the time.
