One-Liner Wednesday: Every Time

#OneLinerWednesday #writingprompt

My current binge is Lie to Me, streaming on Hulu. In it, Tim Roth plays a gnomish expert in detecting deception and Kelli Williams plays his elegant partner. In one episode, the running gag was her coming up behind him silently and his being arm-flappingly startled by it.

She said:

“And it just gets funnier every time.”

It did, too.

This post is part of Linda G. Hill’s weekly blog hop, One-Liner Wednesday. If you have a one-liner or just like them, follow the link.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Watched the whole thing several times, I think. Roth is so weird, and then so perfectly believable. The ‘science’ is a whole lot less precise than they make out, so the show is sort of SF, but you’d think it was real. Enjoy!

I am pretty sure this is a vintage show. I was disappointed when it got cancelled.

And that was my mom. If she found a good button to push, she’d lean with her thumb on it and snicker at you.
