Caturday: Adi Shows Herself

Hewwo. Um, I’m Adi, okay?

EverMom grabbed ahold of me de other day and used scissors and a shaver and a comb and a hair thinner and got off all de mats I worked up while her wristses were broke. I feel a lot better, and Tipper and Chickie say I smell a lot better, but I DIDN’T LIKE IT. I wiggled, and my claws askidentally poked holes in EverMom and blooded her. But she finished trimming off de mats, and den she gave me so many treats I couldn’t eat dem all! I hope she trims me again.

De other day (anodder day), I was outside the rain room, and EverMom said, “Why are you outside the rain room? It’s dry in there.”

Den she looked inside.

An den ANODDER day, EverMom was changing her fur and she askidentally dropped the bottom part onna floor, and I jumped on. EverMom had to wait until my suppertime to get dem back.

Tipper and Chickie say I’ve been naughty dis week. EverMom says, “If those are the worst things she ever does, she’ll have been a pretty good cat.”

I did not know you rescued another fur baby, but you are already being such a good EverMom to her. She’s a pretty girl and glad you are getting her fur and nails in order. Treats are always good for encouragement, that is one of the ways I introduce Hoshi to new people. Kitties always associate treats with good things and good people…right?

Dogs, too. One of my tenants (I rent out my mother’s old house) had a chihuahua who HATED me. Then I started carrying treats and, if she stopped growling and barking (the dog, not the tenant), I gave her a treat. Within a month, she LOVED me, whether I gave her a treat or not. BOOM!

Adi, you are beautiful, and I’m glad you got trimmed and feel (and smell) better now. Don’t worry too much about evermom, she’ll be fine.
