Christmas at the Rover #ThursdayDoors

I met Jane at The Irish Rover for our monthly lunch and our Christmas gift exchange. I had the Celtic Craic and Guinness Beef Stew, so it was a pretty jolly get-together, all around.

Here’s kind of artsy-fartsy shot of the Rover’s front door with all Christmas decorations on.

So Merry Christmas and go to Norm Frampton’s Thursday Doors link-up and click on the blue frog button to see some actually good and interesting door photos.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write about a gift exchange. Not the Gifts of the Magi. Enough with the watch and the hair, already.

AND….There was a Charlie Brown Xmas tree on the counter, appropriately improvised from a sadly thin branch.

    Merry Christmas, pal!

Yeah, that crazy “tree.” Merry Christmas back to you, pal! Here’s to a survivable and literarily productive 2017.

Merry Christmas, Marian! Is that Guinness Beef Stew a combined beer and beef stew dish or a Guinness and a beef stew; either way, Cheers!

That’s beef stew made with Guinness. My beer was Celtic Craic, which was delicious and perfect with it! I’m looking forward to revisiting Florence with your blog post. OMG, I adored Florence!

BTW, one of my Christmas gifts from one of my daughters was a big ol’ bottle of Dragon’s Milk bourbon-barrel-aged stout. We raised ’em right!
