Here’s another call from our local weekly newspaper’s call-in transcript, The Live Wire.
You can’t make this stuff up.
Flies on the Brain
by Anonymous Caller
I want to say this.
People say you should have
an open mind,
and that’s probably true.
But, if you have a door
open too long,
the flies get in
and they lay their eggs
and there’s maggots.
Their minds open too long
and they have
maggots on the brain,
no common sense.
Sometimes,
you’ve got to shut the door,
protect you
from these stupid flies.
Think,
and you’ll understand
what I mean.

I’m posting at Fatal Foodies today about bean burgers. Could be worse. Could be rice.

January 30, 2018 at 9:05amSounds like something I’d say in a stream-of-consciousness babble. I’m supposed to laugh at this, right? Not cry, thinking that’s what I must sound like to other people?

January 30, 2018 at 7:22amMaybe a door wasn’t the best analogy. Maybe a faucet would work. Oh, but then, if left open too long it could cause a flood. Still, maybe a flood of new ideas would work for this guy…
