You know that game, Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon? In case you don’t, it’s a game that links Kevin Bacon to any actor or actress within six degrees of separation. In case you don’t know what that is, it’s the concept that each person is connected to every other person in or within six social connections. Sobering, in these days of COVID-19, but it used to be fun.
Still is, actually. I went to The Oracle of Bacon and found that Lassie has a Bacon number of 3. So does Theda Bara, FFS. So, by God, does Mickey Mouse.
ANYWAY, I also believe that any YouTube video is connected to any other YouTube video in or within six sidebar links. That’s how I came upon Kevin Bacon’s 17-minute TED-X talk about his Six Degrees project, which connects people to charities they’d like to support or allows them to use their connection web to raise awareness of or contributions to charities.
So I went to the Six Degrees website, and I took the pledge.
I painted my nails for St. Patrick’s Day.
And then I painted them again.
If my St. Pat’s plate gets here before Tuesday midnight, I might do ’em again, or at least stamp that glittery one.
And, in the spirit of Six Degrees, I donate nail polish to one of the local assisted living centers. The colors nobody wants on their nails can be used in various crafts. Go thou and do likewise. Or something similar.

March 16, 2020 at 8:02amHave you ever touched your face with hands that have been rubbed with acetone? Well, let me just say that doing nail art means washing your hands well and often. No one has anything to fear from me, at least as far as dirty hands are concerned. 😉
