Sunday Snapshot: Dried

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about something naturally or unnaturally dry.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

The only argument I ever won with my father was when I told him BRUT was the driest champagne. He insisted it was SEC (dry in French, good guess). I was right.

    I miss him.

I hear you. My grandmother loved to pick arguments, just because she picked things she didn’t care about but she knew would make her opponent cross. I guess we made funny faces when we were mad. When I caught onto it, I saw it as an act of engagement and love, and it tickled me. I miss her, too. She was a pistol.
