Thursday Doors: Kingwood Center Gardens 4

These are the last door pictures from the Kingwood Center Gardens, although there will be a lot of the plants on Sunday Snapshot. Next week, we finally get to Corning, New York’s doors! Well, some of them, anyway.

Neither of us could read the provided map, so we just wandered around, making happy discoveries. One was a playground, including this shed which might be for equipment? It’s very jolly, whatever it is.

Here’s another structure, also one I don’t know what is. It closely resembles a grocery store my grandfather made for me out of a large cardboard box, probably salvaged from his workplace.

While wandering along a woodland path, we came across this. It wasn’t part of a display, it was just nestled there.

And so we bid a fond farewell to the Kingwood Center Gardens in Mansfield, Ohio. If you’re planning a trip during decent weather, go there.

Bucket list, yo.

Thursday doors is under the direction of Dan Antion, photographer extraordinaire and critter daddy. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

I could have spent a long time exploring it, but we had so much to see in the gardens!

Wonderful doors, Marian! I can picture you in the grocery store, but I see you more as Lucy, dispensing psychiatric advice for 5 cents. I love the little house in the display.

For the record, Thursday Doors is taking a holiday break. For the complete and accurate record, I’ll still be reading posts by people who can’t help themselves, and I’ll include those posts in the first TD Recap of 2023.

Wishing you and your amazing daughters the best possible holiday season.

The cats always assume everything is about them, anyway, so no harm no foul. lol

Wishing you and yours the best, also. I don’t think I was very bossy as a child. I grew into it when I got married and had children to deal with. You learn Mom Voice or they’ll eat you alive. 😉

Being 4½ years younger than my brother meant there was no learning curve. My mom had her voice well established.
