#1 Daughter got me hooked on Abbott Elementary. I’m not certain if it’s an Office-like “documentary” in progress or if the characters just break the fourth wall a lot, but I enjoy the side-eyes and the back-pedaling when a character realizes what they just said in front of witnesses.
You can always count on the show to be wholesome yet a bit edgy, which is a very fine line to walk, indeed. As the widow of a teacher, I appreciate the portrayal of the staff’s struggles to provide a quality education in an underfunded, “at-risk” school.
Oh, and did I mention that it’s funny? Well, it’s funny!
Abbott Elementary airs weekly on ABC, and streams on HULU, which is where I watch it. #1 Daughter watches it on ABC, because she says she looks forward to one little guaranteed bright spot in every week. I stream it, because I’m greedy.
So it was St. Patrick’s Day, and I did St. Patrick’s Day nails. Very happy with how they came out.
The base color is kbshimmer’s Say It Ain’t Cilantro. I alternated this polish and clear polish, and achieved a slight 3-D shimmer effect which OF COURSE doesn’t show up in a photograph. The stamping was done with Maniology’s Coconut. The plate was MoYou London’s Festive Collection – 21.
Oh — And here’s my favorite St. Patrick’s Day cartoon ever:
A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: What kind of elementary school did you go to? What details can you remember from it?

“But…@#$%.”
