Friend Turtle visited Porto, Portugal and took pictures like a good’un. Thanks from all of us, Turtle!

These are splendid doors, Marian. Thanks to Turtle too.
I particularly like the seashell shapes on the second door — both attractive and unexpected. Hugs.

I’m thinking it’s because Portugal is coastal and traditionally sea-directed.

What a great friend. (A good friend thinks of you when they travel. A great friend sends you doors). They are all beautiful but the second photo (at #4) is my favorite. I love doors that are split in an uneven way. I also like the metal grills.

I like unevenly split doors, too. And I like to think our hobby is a gift for our traveling friends, too: When you travel, it’s easy to gloss over details in the excitement of the big picture, but focusing on doors makes people slow down and appreciate.

Wonderful gallery Marian! I love the first door’s simple elegance with the ornate inlays. Thank you.
