Kentuckiana Writers Have Beer and Ramen in a Small House

It’s Friday! Let’s see what the week has brought me.

Kentuckiana Authors is a new but mighty group with the tagline, “Too much talent for just one state!” I am totally joining this group — they are da bomb. If you’re a writer in Kentucky or Indiana, this group is a powerhouse. If you’re a reader, this group can hook you up with your new favorite books and writers. The excitement is contagious!

Good news for writers: a Facebook friend put me onto a site called Rights of Writers, which addresses questions like whether you can be sued for a really negative review, whether you can use trademarked names in fiction, and useful links to analyzing publishing agreements.

One of my Twitter buds is Beers and Beans, a travel blog. A recent post was 8 Essential Android Apps For Working On The Road. Since I’ll be doing more of that, now that I have a publishing list to flog, I found this most helpful, and you might, too.

I guess I’m still a college girl at heart, because I still love Ramen noodles. Leave it to the jolly old Huff-Po to come up with 20 ways for me to use my standby for what look suspiciously like real food.

Have I told you that I’m obsessed with tiny houses? Yes, I thought I had. Some of the houses on Small House Style are not what I’d call tiny, but some are. Even the larger ones are still smallish.

I’m almost finished with the final edits for A DEAD GUY AT THE SUMMERHOUSE, so excuse me while I knock off the last 50 pages. I hope to have it out Real Soon Now.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write something with Ramen in it.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.
