In celebration of my successful escape from Bluehost Hell, I bought – yes, bought! Yes, I! – a skin pack for Minecraft. What is a skin pack, you ask? Well, Imma tell you: You play Minecraft as a character. You can choose to play from outside the character (viewing it from the front or the back) or you can play first-person. Since I always play first-person, all I can see of myself is the tip of my li’l square hand. But they offered this pack for $1.99.WHAT COULD I DO? I hadda buy it, right?
Can you guess which character I play? ~bounce bounce bounce~ MONKEY! Be Monkey and walk around carrying a stick? Oh, HELL, yeah!Things haven’t been this happy on Walton’s mountain since John Boy got a pad of tablet paper for Christmas.
This week, I posted at Fatal Foodies about Baked Spag.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Your character tackles a problem which turns out to be more difficult than expected, but prevails.

Simpler times, simpler joys. I remember getting excited over a tablet of onion skin and a box of first class Airmail envelopes.

March 16, 2016 at 1:07pmThat sounds pretty exciting! Sounds like you had somebody to write to overseas, which is exciting in itself. 🙂

March 17, 2016 at 10:35amI had a pen pal in Sweden when I was a kid (I could introduce you to her – we’re now Facebook friends!) and I had a cousin in Germany – we used to play Chess by mail. I don’t think we actually ever finished a game. For a little while, I had an older pen pal in Belgium – a friend of a family friend. My mom’s brother lived overseas, so I had an aunt and uncle and two cousins in Europe, but I’m pretty sure we weren’t the pen pal types at that age. LOL

March 15, 2016 at 7:57amIt’s nice when other adults completely geek-out about video games 🙂
That hot quinoa salad looks yum, which I tried to say there, but I couldn’t convince it that I wasn’t a bot.

March 15, 2016 at 8:04amI think there’s a checky thing you have to check or something. The spambots are driving us all crazy, aren’t they? Yuck!
The quinoa salad was REALLY good. You’d never know it’s good for you. heh
I love Minecraft, and I don’t even play it right. I have the Monsters turned off. Now that I know how to turn any amount of lava into obsidian with one bucket of water, I have no fear. 😀
