Jane’s been telling me about this blog called Creative Bloq: Art and Design Inspiration, and it is, indeed, awesomely awesome. From free online photo editing sites to vintage posters to news and advice on many (if not all) things art and design, this site is an endless wonderland. One page I particularly appreciate is this Social Media images size cheat sheet. I just need to remember to look for an update when any of the social media I use changes sizes on me.
This one’s new to you, Jane (I think), but it’s a pip! A photographer has “recreated Russian fairy tales” in photographs. My only complaint is that I don’t know what the tales are. Guess I’ll have to rummage around in the Rainbow Fairy Books for the Russian ones.
Jane sent me this link from the Mother Nature Network on why some characters stick with us. It isn’t a how-to, just an informational validation of something all happy readers have experienced sometimes.
Jane also recommended some good commercials on YouTube. See, advertisers, this is how you get people to watch your commercials: make ’em good. Me, I’m a fan of Flo, although my mother just hates her. Don’t know why. Maybe because she looks so ’50s, and that was not a happy time for a lot of people. I could watch Flo all day. Also Allstate’s Mayhem.
…Are you detecting a pattern here? ‘Cause I’m detecting a pattern here. How come insurance companies have all the best commercials?
A WRITING PROMPT FOR YOU: Write about insurance. Make it good.
