Halfway through.

Our Story A Day prompt today was a list.

Story A Day

Things I Can See

by Marian Allen

  • park bench I’m sitting on
  • clothes the Mission gave me, almost worn out now
  • my hands, shaking ’cause my blood sugar’s out of whack
  • less and less, vision tunneling from the insulin crash
  • little boy and his mama, passing to the left
  • same little boy, running to the right
  • same little boy, running to the left
  • same little boy, running to the right
  • same little boy, stopping, shouting, “Just like Grampa!”
  • same little boy, unwrapping a Mars Bar
  • Mars Bar in my face
  • another day

I’m also posting today at Fatal Foodies on one o’ them bowl things.

Take your pills an insulin and eat a salad with a little fatty dressing.
Steal the Mars Bar! We can share it!

Hi Marian, short story but deep insight required. Nice way to tell a story.
