Chickie Takes It Easy #Caturday #TipperAndChickie

HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!

Tipper and I forgotted whose turn it was to post, so we tossed a cat for it and I won. I just crouch until Tipper wanders by and den I pounce and knock him ober. Mommy calls me Tigger sometimes. Dat must mean “fierce an strong.”

I gotta new fing to do! Poppy builded dis place for the showy fing (I helpded). So now the showy fing is down where I can see it. I like to watch it and play wif de peopleses hands.

But den I go play wif Tipper. We chase and wrestle and chase some more and wrestle some more. It’s so fun!

Den we get tired, and we rest for a while.

I like having a big brudder! It beminds me of the brudders I useta have before I came here to live. Tipper’s more funner, though, and I like living inside and having alla my food to myself. Den I eat somea Tipper’s food, just because. But mine is best.

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you ever watch de showy fing?

These two seem to gettin on well for cats. I was worried at first. Tipper seemed to like being an only cat.

I think he would have ended up being friends with Sweetie Pie if she hadn’t been all hissy-face. And we knew he would be a good big brother when we had Daisy for such a heart-breakingly short time. I think he would be happy as an only cat, but he sure likes playing with his rowdy little sister.

Catticus and Cletus sometimes watch tv, and Cletus does love the people hands, that’s sorta his MO in pettings — Find the people hands!
Clara has no idea what a showy fing is, which is surely why she sits her fluffy white butt in front of it all the bloody time. Ugh!
Sadie does enjoy the showy fing, and she rushes up to bark at nature, particularly dogs and horses. She cries at Eddie on Frasier. I think she thinks she knows him. LOL

My first cat, Miss Tiffany, had a crush on Clarence the Cross-Eyed Lion on Daktari. She paid NO attention to the showy fing unless Clarence was on; then she sat and stared and flicked her tail.

All my feline babies are related – Pippi is their mother and Buffa, Harry & Golli are brothers. Sadly we lost Pixie to the road some years ago. As the two biggest, Buffa and Harry are constantly stalking each other and glaring. Yet as kittens they were inseparable. You’re so lucky Tipper is such an easy going cat! Chickie, on the other hand, is a little minx. 😀

Do Buffa and Harry fight, or just give each other dirty looks? Too bad they forgot they were besties! Yes, we count ourselves lucky that Tipper and Chickie coexist, even though it isn’t always peaceful. The sound of kitty-cat body slams sometimes shake the house! lol!

Mmm…they mostly co-exist, but every now and then they’ll have an actual ‘spat’. Buffa feels that the house is his. Harry desperately wants to share. While I’m visible, they enact a truce. When I’m not visible, Buffa tries to enforce dominance.

I think the whole thing began because Harry went walkabout for two weeks after Golli’s accident. He was freaked out by the hospital smell and the fact that poor Golli was brain damaged and acted ‘weird’. I put up posters about Harry and drove up and down the dirt roads near home, calling, calling. Zip. Then, about 2 weeks later he showed up, skin and bone and a little confused. I think he remembered the /house/ but was a little uncertain of me. He was almost like a wild cat.

Anyway, long story short, Buffa didn’t take his return well and they’ve been having a cold war ever since. -sigh-

I think you’re very lucky that Tipper is a sweetie and still young enough not to see Chickie as a real threat. Hope they continue being good mates. 🙂

I’m so sorry for all the sorrows and frights. Our furbabies lead their own lives, don’t they? Mom’s late cat, Roger, went missing and came back changed from a pumpkin to a scarecrow–and with diabetes!

Oh poor thing. 🙁 Thank goodness all Harry needed was TLC and heaps of food. They are very much their own little people and I’ve literally known the boys since Pippi gave birth to them in my bathroom. lol I should dig out some baby photos. 😀
