Chickie’s Quilt #Caturday #TipperAndChickie

HELLO! My name is CHICKIE!

Our #2 Hooman Sister came over and brought me a quilt she made. It’s bootiful! She pretended it was for Poppy, but everything’s for me, so she really brought it for me.

It’s made out of lots of little strips of material all sewn together. Then she did what she called free-hand quilting all over it! Little, teeny-tiny designs that makes it all puckery, like Poppy loves them to be.

Poppy and Mommy oohed and aahed over it, and Poppy said he would put it on the bed.

Then he said he would put it on the couch, because if he put it on the bed, the cats would lie on it and get it dirty. He meant Tipper, but he didn’t want to hurt Tipper’s feelers, so he blamed us both.

Tipper: He meant YOU.

Did not. ANYWAY, LALALA, I CAN’T HEAR YOU! ANYWAY, he did put it on the couch, and it looks beautiful.

In other news, one of my cousins or nephews or uncles or whatever from #1 Hooman Sister’s house came up last night and peeked inna basement window. I didn’t know it, and when Tipper started cussing, I thought he was starting an uglyfight and yowled back. Then the outside cat yowled, and Tipper yowled, and I got scared and ran upstairs and hid under the end table.

Mommy went down to the basement window and knocked on it and the other cat ran away. She was not scared of that bad language AT ALL. Mommy is super brave!

A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Do you get scared when other animals use bad language real loud?

Of course that quilt is for you, Chickie – everything warm and soft belongs to a cat.

#2 Daughter has been quilting less than a year, and she does amazing things. She says quilting is good for her, because she’s a perfectionist, and quilting has taught her to accept a certain amount of imperfection.
