Face Masks and #Nails #MondayRecommends

Holly Jahangiri (the real one) has been making face masks. She has also written a poem about it, and a most useful post.

TL;DR (although do): Rosie Sews is providing material and instructions, if you would like to volunteer to make masks.

In an effort to help curb medical supply shortages as we battle COVID19, we’re requesting seamstresses, makers and manufacturers to make masks and other supplies for use by medical professionals, at-risk community members and essential workers including postal works, grocery store workers, manufacturing personnel (and more).

We do what we can to deal with the stress. Painting my nails soothes me, so I’ve been continuing with that. Here are two manis that Charlie (who hates nail art) actually kinda liked.

And this. I took two pictures, one with flash and one with natural light, and still couldn’t capture the iridescent pinkery sheen.

Hope you had a safe and happy Easter. We, too, will emerge, when the time is right.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: Write about something that doesn’t show up in a photograph.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

LOL! Yeah, it’s possible that the smell of acetone and nail polish would drive away the virus. Not something I’d care to test, though. 😀
