Love Each Other

I will probably return to posting when it helps more than hurts, but just now I can’t do it.

July 1, we lost my beloved Charlie to a sudden onset of dehydration and pneumonia. Fluids for the dehydration went to his lungs and made the pneumonia worse. Antibiotics caused liver failure. Nothing but heroic measures could have given him a slight chance of prolonging his misery.

Respecting his wishes, we brought him home with Hosparus providing hospice care.

He was active on Friday, ill on Saturday, hospitalized on Sunday, in ICU on Monday night, came home on Tuesday, and died on Wednesday.

I miss you all. Each one of you who comments or whose blog I visit is a spark of joy in an already dark soul.

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

You have so many friends that can write eloquently, expressing their pain for your pain much better than I.
I can only say I’ve known you and loved you for so very many years.
I was on the ‘ground floor’ when your wonderful life with Charlie started.
I’m honored to be able to say that.
You’re in my heart and prayers. I weep every time it hits me.
When you want to holler I’m here, wanting to be on the hill you holler at.
      Love you!

Although we’ve never met, I want to express my sadness and hopes that your memories, friends, and other loved ones will comfort you in this most difficult of times.

Marian, words just aren’t enough. I just hope you can feel wrapped in a hug that stretches from Houston to Llannonn to you, wrapped in purple feathers.
