Quaint Without Inconvenience #ThursdayDoors #MonthlyUpdate

Naturally, my eye is always drawn to pictures of doors. You get a lot of them in doctors offices and such like.

I love this one, because it reminds me of some places fellow dooristas have been in real life.

As Charlie’s Aunt Ora Mae would say, “Now ain’t that perty?”

This is the first of the month, so there’s a new 150-character-ish short story on my Hot Flashes page.

Thursday doors is the brainchild of Norm Frampton, photographer extraordinaire. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: You’ve seen it on TV or in movies. Write about a painting you’d like to walk into, and what happens there.

It looks like a village in Devon and you are right I have been to similar places in real life.

I would love to see such a sight in person. It’s convenient, being able to sleep in my own bed at night, but I love to feel the sun in other latitudes and breath the air in other places.

So, naturally, I had to look up the Hovis ad. It looks exactly the same! I’ll bet that’s the place they painted. 🙂
