Mostly CoryDoors #ThursdayDoors

Sara sent me the first one, from across the street from her doctor’s (annual checkup). When she was very, very wee, she came out of her room carrying a transparent handbag shaped like a closed but not constricted umbrella that fastened with a zipper. She said, “Look! It’s like a window! It’s like a purse! It’s like an umbrella! It’s like a jacket!” So, when she sent me the picture and said, “Look! It’s red! It’s a gate! It’s an arch!” I got the reference. It does tick many of my doorphilia boxes.

The other three pictures were taken by me in Corydon. The first needs some TLC, but I love the treatment around the door. The sign says CLOSED. The flag says OPEN. The flag is lying.

What’s a corner downtown without a tattoo parlor with a corner door? This used to be a drug store, then it was a clothing store, then it was a tchotchke store. As I said of a restaurant in Richmond, Kentucky that was a different business every month or so, “That building has had more grand openings than Barnabas Collins’ coffin.”

This wee little car has a door. Isn’t it a delightful wee little car?

“Look! It’s red! It’s a gate! It’s an arch!” Yeah, I like that one best.
I’ve always wondered how it feels to drive a smart car. As a shorty, I think I might like it, might be cozy. Might be deadly. I don’t know.

I know. When I see one, I always feel like I should strap one to each shoe and use them as roller skates.

Great doors! I like the door on the Smart car, but I’m not sure I’d want to be on the highway in one of them. Corner doors are the best.

I wonder how the Smart car handles/grips on the highway. They sure LOOK like a semi would blow them off the road!
