Hi, there! I’m Tipper Allen, and guess what! I scared Momma today real bad. I didn’t mean to. I meant to be funny.
I was on my window seat in the bedroom, watching her sleep, like I do. She woke up and I thought she would laugh if I pretended to be a stuffed cat. I thought she would think I had traded places with Coconut Fluff, her mechanical cat. So I held my breath and didn’t blink.
But she didn’t think I was stuffed; she thought I was dead! She yelled, “Tipper! Wake up, Baby!” and I moved and blinked. I got lots of pets and hugs and head-kisses, but I won’t ever play that joke again. I don’t like for Momma to be upset.
She’s been taking lots of pictures of me, because she says I’m handsome and I have fans.
I like to snuggle up to Momma’s leg, especially when she has these fluffy pants on, with cat paw prints on them.
Our #4 Hooman Sister takes pictures of us, too, and sends them to Momma.
And here I am really sleeping.
A WRITING PROMPT FOR ANIMALS: Did you ever play a trick on your hooman that scared them? Were you sorry, or did you think it was funny? Did you ever do it again?
