Windows Sucks

Windows hijacked my laptop, so I had to reinstall Zorin and now I have to set everything up again.

I’ll see you when I see you.

Bleh.

Ugh…how awful. And yes, Windows does suck. My local tech managed to get Win10 setup on my pc, but even after turning off every conceivable bit of bloat garbage, 10 uses 46% of my memory even when /I/ am not doing anything. I know my pc is older, and doesn’t have as much RAM as more recent builds, but this is ridiculous. I do not understand how Micro$oft can get away with this crap.

It was my own fault for letting Windows live as a dual boot option. Gonna fix THAT.

There are lots of things about Windows that are not nice. Automatic update is one of them. Good luck on your rebuild Marian.

I found I can boot into my old installation, so everything is there!

That is good news. I spent a day looking at Linux options about a month back and the idea has not left me. I would just need to make sure similar packages to the ones I currently use live in the Linux world.

Most likely they do. If you’d like to email me a list of what you use, I’d be happy to check. ma at marianallen dotcom

I feel your pain. I got a new laptop with Windows 11 and had to set everything up again. I use Firefox as my browser and it wouldn’t let me load it. It took me a day to figure out what the problem was. I can use it now, but still don’t have all my other stuff loaded.
