Did you ever see ROMANCING THE STONE, a romance/action/adventure movie about a romance novelist kidnapped because of something she wrote that made some lunatic think he could use her to find a treasure, then she has to run around the jungle with some guy until they fall in love and come through safely?

I saw it and I loved it, and I recognized the elements when I saw a trailer for THE LOST CITY from 2022 on Netflix, and I thought, “I gotta watch that.” I loved it even more than I loved ROMANCING THE STONE. THE LOST CITY stars Sandra Bullock, who was one of my mother’s favorites, Daniel Radcliffe as the lunatic, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Oscar Nunez, and Channing Tatum, with a wonderful cameo by Brad Pitt. It was So. Much. Fun. I think Imma watch it again.

My nails this week are kinda stone-ish. The pinkies and thumbs are blue topped with gold crackle. The index fingers are brown with gold veins. I got a new sugar-sparkle texture powder from Maniology, so my accent fingers are Marshmallow topped with the sugar sparkle, then stamped with gold veins. Unfortunately, one cannot simply put top coat on the sugar sparkle or you lose the texture, and the stamped veins keep washing off. Lesson learned.

I think the sugar sparkle would be best used for a mani meant to be short-lived, not one meant to last for a week.
