Thursday Doors: Toonerville

Yeah, I’m late today. But I didn’t kill myself, so that’s a plus. It’s a plus for me, anyway; I hope it’s a plus for you.

ANYWAY, I didn’t get out anywhere new this week, so I turned to my books. Fontaine Fox’s TOONERVILLE TROLLEY is a collection of his newspaper comics featuring a trolley than runs from downtown out to the suburbs, which used to be fairly rough-and-tumble. He was inspired by a rattletrap trolley with a bearded “Skipper” in Pelham, New York and the Brook Street line in Louisville, Kentucky.

Now for the doors. Right-click on the pictures to see them larger.

Thursday doors is under the direction of Dan Antion, photographer extraordinaire and critter daddy. Visit his site, enjoy his wonderful photographs, follow his directions, and enter a world of doors.

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

The Toonerville folks are wonderful, and the structures are as wonky as they are. 😀
