So I made a grilled cheese sammich and canned cream of mushroom soup. BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!
The bread I used was nutty oat bread and the cheese I used was a blend of Gruyère and Swiss.
I began the soup by dry-frying some fresh portobello mushrooms, then added herbs and spices and a half cup of white wine and a half cup of water and about 1/4 tsp of chicken bouillon powder.

March 6, 2025 at 12:59pmI HAVE made my own cream of mushroom soup, but this time I just doctored up a can. I was raised on Campbell’s soup in those red and white cans with fat children on the label. I forget when the “Campbell’s Kids” vanished.
