We saw SING 2 last night. I rented it for a month, and I expect to get more than my money’s worth. You know how sequels are often rehashes of the hit moments from the original, but stale and forced? Well, SING 2 isn’t like that. Yes, it’s about pursuing your dreams against all odds and about people who try to tear you down but they can’t because you have other people catching you when you fall and helping you back up. But that isn’t a rehash, that’s an archetype, and it works again because there are new challenges and new adversaries and new allies, along with the people the characters have learned they can depend on — including themselves.
