Thursday Doors: Postcard From Louisville

So I went to a sister-in-law’s house for a brothers-and-sisters lunch. Charlie’s siblings get together every month or so, with their spouses, if any, for a lunch without the younger generations. It restoreth my soul that they still include me after Charlie’s passing.

ANYWAY, this brother of Charlie’s and his precious wife live on a street stuffed with Storybook Style houses. I snapped a non-Storybook on the way. It is, I think, a very handsome house, with a grand door and a garage door peeking over the bushes.

I was charmed by this side door framed by a vaguely catslide roof.

And then there was this beauty!

About

I was born in Louisville, Kentucky, but now live in the woods in southern Indiana. Though I only write fiction, I love to read non-fiction. The more I learn about this world, the more fantastic I see it is.

Oh, the storybooks! They are such delights, and don’t they set our imaginations back to maybe an old Raggedy Ann book!

I read that the Disney animators walked through a Storybook Style neighborhood while working on Snow White, and it influenced their animation, not the other way around.
