Monday Recommends and Nail Art: Blind and Cracked

First, regular readers may have noticed that Peanut didn’t post yesterday. She’s still invisible, so I decided she might as well be inaudible, as well. Although she’s far from inaudible. I hear her romping around up there in the evening, as if to rub it in that she’s there but I don’t get to enjoy her presence. Stinker!

ANYWAY, I want to tell you about a most fun thing: A Blind Date With A Book. The book store where Per Bastet had our book non-sale and non-signing had a shelf of books wrapped in paper, with the genre and used-book price written on the wrapper. I bought a Mystery one. When I unwrapped it, it was BEFORE I SAY GOODBYE by Mary Higgins Clark, which I haven’t read. There was also a very nice bookmark. Great gimmick, and it didn’t disappoint.

My nails this week are kind of crunchy leaves in tones of brown. Instead of using crackle polish, I stamped with a crackle pattern.

My hands are also rather crackle, because I forgot to moisturize before I took the photo, and I’m too lazy to do it now and take the picture again. Bleh.

A WRITING PROMPT FROM ME TO YOU: A blind date.

I hope Peanut gets comfortable at some point. MiMi took over the basement family room for the better part of a year after something Maddie or her sister did to scare her. We got to see her, but that was it. Cool nails and an interesting idea for book sales.

Yeah, I’m in it for the long haul. I’m figuring about a year. And as for the book: I think I forgot to say there was a bag of peach herbal tea included, as well. Perfect!

I DID miss Caturday – was hoping everything was okay. Give Peanut an extra pet so she (?) becomes more visible with the passing of time.

I can’t give her a pet at all — I haven’t seen her in over two months. I hear her romping in the night, though.
