Monday Recommends and Nail Art: Dead and Snowy

We watched the third Knives Out movie, WAKE UP, DEAD MAN, and I urge you to be patient with it. Of course, you may have to be patient FOR it, since it’s only on Netflix right now. Eventually, though, it’ll be available to watch or rent on other streaming services. For instance, you can rent the original KNIVES OUT for under five bucks on various streaming services.

ANYWAY, we very nearly turned the movie off after a slow seven hours (may be a slight exaggeration), but Sara said, “Let’s wait until Daniel Craig comes into it. If it doesn’t pick up then, we’ll switch to Forged in Fire.” Sure enough, when he came into it, it picked up.

The movie is over two hours, and the solution leaves you looking at each other and saying, “Did that makes sense? Or not?”, but it’s worth the time and brain cells.

We will definitely watch it again. The original is still our favorite, but this one will bear rewatching and dissecting.

It snowed again, so I have snowy nails again. Blue base color with a blue opalescent topper, penguin in black and white, snow in white.

I might pass on the movie, if it lands somewhere I can watch it, but who knows, I might be in the mood that night. I love the penguin and the snowy nails.

The movie is well worth watching. I’ve watched it twice, and Sara and Michael and I plan to watch it together again. I love the respect between the atheist detective and the sincere, open-hearted priest. It’s a wonderful match of rationality and rational spirituality.
